The AMN 5192 is an OC-192 bandwidth manager and baseline foundation for Hitachi's suite of ultra-high speed optical networking products. This 10 Gb/s optical transmission system provides a network solution for classical point-to-point, optical hub, add/drop chain, and self-healing 2-fiber and 4-fiber ring applications.

Flexible service offerings include protected combinations of SONET (OC-48/OC-12/OC-3) tributaries on the same low speed shelf. Designed for advanced service capability, the AMN 5192 is compatible with all interoffice environments. The complementary AMN 6100 dense wavelength division multiplexer (DWDM) can be added to provide capacity to 640 Gb/s and beyond (1.6 Tb/s).

The AMN 5192 is part of an optical layer solution that offers the ultimate in flexibility and efficiency in building high-bandwidth networks.
